The importance of Intercessory Prayer can not be stressed enough. The church is faced with many spiritual, social, political and economical concerns. These are issues that require action. The starting point for action is through intercessory prayer.
The small band of prayer warriors intercede for spiritual and social needs of the Renfrew community.The prayer team meets each Thursday at 7 PM to call on God for a spiritual awakening in the community of Renfrew and the surrounding area.
The prayer focus often shift to the bigger picture. For example, someone in the group will lead out in prayer for the nation of Canada. The prayer team prays weekly for the Prime Minister and his government, the elected officials and senators who run our country. The prayer team will pray over matters concerning social justice and righteousness. The group seeks God for social justice and righteousness. We pray for and support bills that promote justice, righteousness, protection of the children , the weak, the vulnerable, the unborn, immigrants, etc.
In general, the prayer focus is Holy Spirit guided and in alignment with the Lord's prayer: "His well be done on earth as it is in heaven."
