"Life is a STORM, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes..."
You've been there. You know that life can take those earth-shattering turns. But like Edmond says to young Albert in the movie "The Count of Monte Cristo", what defines you is not the STORM, but what you do when that STORM comes.
We take some time every Friday night to gather as a group of High School and Jr. High students and face some of those STORMS head on. Expect crazy games with an unexpected thought-provoking twist. Expect to spend some time in an ancient book of wisdom and stories, asking hard questions and wrestling through to some answers. Expect outings and events like rock concerts, snowman building for charity, youth events in Ottawa, and nerf wars. Expect to chill with some friends, play some sports in the gym, and have some conversation about everything from McChicken to Olympians to Philemon... and speaking of pie (What do you mean that came out of nowhere? Olympians, ancient Greece, 3.14159, Pi...), what is a conversation without something to munch on?
7pm Friday nights. Life is a STORM...
